You ever read a book tag and think, that’s the tag for me?
That was exactly me reading through Paper Fury’s I Should Read THAT book tag post. Why? Because there are so many books on my to be read shelf. Thanks friends for overwhelming me with so MANY book recommendations. Y’all are great and terrible at the same time.
A book that a certain friend is ALWAYS telling you to read
How many people have recommended this book? I even borrowed it from the library and just haven’t read it! Apologies to May because I should listen to her and read this book.
And when I saw Cait posted this tag, I immediately knew this book was my first answer. Because I feel like every person in the world keeps recommending me this book.
Seriously, if this book is not on my wrap up for 2019, someone come help May and Cait yell at me.
a book that’s been on your TBR forever & yet you still haven’t picked it up
The second this book was announced, I put it on my TBR. And I have the audiobook. but it’s something like 36 hours long? THAT’S A BIG COMMITMENT.
And I do really want to read it! I started the audio book and listened to about 2 hours on a flight. Last Christmas. Over half a year ago. Opps.
Michelle Obama reading her own book was perfection! I just got distracted listening to One Direction (probably) and haven’t picked it back up again. So she says as she keeps listening to One Direction on repeat. Or Hamilton. Music mood swings.
Need to get back on this book ASAP. So she says as she keeps listening to One Direction on repeat. Or Hamilton. Music mood swings.
A book in a series you’ve started, but haven’t gotten round to finishing yet
Okay, I’ll admit City of Bones wasn’t my favorite book in the YA universe. It has such 2007 vibes because surprise! it was written in 2007. If only Six of Crows was published sooner and revolutionized YA books earlier.
Anyway, someday I plan on finishing this series. And actually back to reading City of Ashes. I think I might have read the first three paragraphs of this book once upon a time?
Since I have read the Infernal Devices and The Dark Artifices, I basically know a ton of what happens in these books. But I’m a weird bookworm and spoilers have never really bothered me? So, instead of procrastinating, I just need to pick up the Mortal Instruments and START reading.
A classic you’ve always liked the sound of, but never actually read
I’ve read A LOT of classics so it was hard to think of one I haven’t read. Especially one that I’ve heard about and actually want to read. For example, I’ve never read The Great Gatsby but for some reason I have no desire to read it. Absolutely no desire.
But after listening to Finding Neverland the musical several times, i.e. a dozen or more times, I kind of want to pick up Peter Pan.
Okay, I’ll be honest, and say the main reason I want to read Peter Pan is Peter Pan’s Flight is my favorite “classic” ride at Walt Disney World and I need to actually read the book.
Also, Finding Neverland the musical is just beautiful and maybe the book is too? We’ll see. Basically, I need to read this in a scottish accent.
A popular book that it seems everyone but you has read
Actually, i just picked up this book from the library! It’s in my life plan to read The Gilded Wolves by the end of July or early August.
Since this book is fairly hyped, it feels like EVERYONE on the internet has read it. So MANY booktube reviews and insta posts and twitter threads.
I’ve heard tons of mixed reviews but I’ve been avoiding spoilers like the plague. Even though I will read books even after I’ve been spoiled because do I really care about spoilers?
But I’m excited about Roshani Chokshi and can’t wait to be surprised and drawn into the Gilded Wolves.
A book you see all over Instagram but haven’t picked up yet
There are several books ALL over instagram that I just haven’t read yet. One book that my non-bookish insta friends have loved is Bloom. And since these are just regular people reccing this book, yes, that means I need to read it VERY soon.
And another book I’ve seen ALL over instagram is The Devouring Gray. It looks creepy and maybe atmospheric? Anyway, everyone who’s read it has raved about it on insta, so I need to check it out!
What I absolutely LOVE about this tag is all the books you CAN TALK ABOUT! So many books! Right now, there’s around 180 books on my TBR, so this tag just includes a few of those. Can you imagine a post with 180 books? That would be hecka too much.
Now, for some tag details. Aka, the maybe? boring stuff.
Thank the person who tagged you and link back to their post, aka Paper Fury’s LOVELY post.

Alrighty! If the toggle bar works, it’s cause I had to google May’s post on it. Seriously, I googled how to add a Toggle bar and that info was NOT helpful, and I knew May had a how-to WordPress post so guess who had to go back to May’s blog? yours truly. Also, thank you May for being a lifesaver.
And if the toggle bar doesn’t work? It’s cause I’m a clutz at text and html editing. Ergh.
Of course, everyone who’d like to do this tag is tagged for this post! But some lovely folks that I’ll go ahead and tag Tiffany / Olivia / Vicky / Melanie / Lily / and everyone else who’d like to do this tag!
