I am so excited about today’s post! It has taken me a few days to pull this all together, but it’s here folks! Today, I present my nominees for the 2nd Annual Book Blogger Awards! These awards are run by Joce @ Write Through the Night, so be sure to check her page out! (and nominate some blogs if you can!)
This is the very first time I’ve ever nominated anyone for blogger awards? Wow…where have I been? College, haha.
There are a ton of categories. But I’m not doing them ALL because of life and time. There are so many blogs I could nominate, and believe me, it was hard to pick just a few! So without further ado, I present my nominees for the 2018 Book Blogger Awards.
Of course, Kate and Leo are clapping for the nominees.
Best Pre-Teen/Teen Book Blogger (13-19)
Ah, it’s not fair! I have to choose the best teen blogger? From an entire year? What torture is this???
I know some incredible bloggers. But May @ Forever and Everly is literally always, always my favorite.
I’m pretty sure that we can universally agree May is the most epic teen book blogger in the history of book blogging. Her content constantly amazes me, and she’s so kind. Also, Hamilton and mangoes.
Mikaela @ The Well Thumbed Reader is also another big favorite. I mean, the purple flowers are just too adorable. And her posts are always engaging and I love seeing her updates show up in my inbox.
Best Adult Book Blogger (20+)
There are literally so many adult book bloggers??? I could go with big blogs, or little blogs, or medium sized blogs. *thinks*
Malanie @ Malanie Loves Fiction is a buddy reading friend, and such a committed, sweet blogger! Her reviews are hilarious, and she has lots of different content. She’s also a college student.
Tiffany @ Tea and Tiffany is a diverse blogger and a college student. Since I’m in college, I know how hard it is to blog and keep doing school. Tiffany has great bookish posts, and she sometimes chats about college life, too!
Destiny @ Howling Libraries is a simply awesome adult blogger. She is super active on goodreads as well as her blog. I constantly check out her reviews, and really enjoy her content.
Best Book Blogger from an Underrepresented/Minority Group
Alright, folks, Fadwa @ Word Wonders HAS to win this category. She’s a neurodivergent queer brown Muslim girl, and she loves talking about diverse books! I love her blog, and she is such an amazing person! And she’s from Morocco which is SO COOL.
Fadwa does an incredible job of featuring diverse books, and other diverse bloggers. And her photography from around Morocco is pretty incredible!
Best Book Reviews
Elise @ the Bookish Actress has the BEST reviews. I follow her on Goodreads and just love all her content. I am constantly amazed at how much she can read and all the reviews she is able to write. Simply epic. Also, Elise is super great at talking about diverse books.
Claire @ Books, Coffee, Repeat is another incredible reviewer. Seriously, how do people manage to actually write and share so many lovely book reviews?
The Master of Weekly Features (top 5 wednesday, waiting on wednesday, top 10 tuesday, etc)
How are people able to keep up with weekly memes? It must be a magical gift. Which I do not have. But ALL the respect to the bloggers who do post memes.
Evelinah @ Avalinah’s Books is an international blogger & she keeps up with a ton of weekly memes. I think she even has started a few all on her own?
Kathy @ Book and Munches also manages to do a ton of weekly memes. I swear she must be magical.
Best Book Recommendations
This is the hardest category? Because every blog recommends books? How am I supposed to choose only a couple of blogs?
Dani @ Dani’s Bookshelf has a ton of book recs. Dani does mostly recs, and posts weekly book news. If you want to know what’s happening in the book world, check out Dani’s blog.
Ellyn @ allonsythornraxx has posted a bunch of book recs recently, so I’m also nominating her.
Emma @ Emma Reads Too Much talks about a lot of different books. I’m constantly hearing about diffenrt, new books to add to my TBR. Even her unpopular opinion reviews are so good, they make me want to read more books!
Best Discussion Posts
Discussion posts are some of my favorite things in the blogging world. I have so many blogs I want to nominate, but I have to stick to just three. Ergh.
Amena @ Nerd in New York has great discussions. I love her writing style and chatting with her about her posts! I also really adore her blog aesthetics.
Elise @ Roaming Reader is another one of my absolute favorites! I LOVE her discussion posts. And she talks about alot of different things? Not only books, but movies and tv shows, too. Especially bookish film adaptions.
Most Engaged in the Community
Marie @ Drizzle and Hurricane Books is an absuoltue wizard. not only does she have a very pretty blog, with a ton of content, but she keeps up with SO MANY BLOGS. *shower confetti down on Marie because she is a queen*
Cait @ Paper Fury is also The Most Awesome Blogger™ She has the most lovely inspiring blog, and she is SUPER FRIENDLY. Cait chats about literally everything, and visits lots of blogs, and leave the most cute comments. And she is publishing a book? Ultimate engagement goals. Also, cake. Let’s bake lots of cake for Cait.
Everyone has a pretty blog? At least, I think? So I nominated someone I haven’t nominated for anything else.
I am head-over-heels in love with Olivia’s @ Purely Olivia blog aesthetic. It’s so elegant and pretty? I just love checking out her posts because her aesthetic is on point.
Social media influencer
Ilsa @ A Whisper of Ink is one of my favorite twitter accounts. She is super funny and her tweets deserve to go viral.
Ayla @ Books and Babbles has a pretty incredible instagram account and I kind of love how she shares about her blog and bookish pictures. I know it’s a lot of work to run a quality instagram account, so hats off to her!
Also, Cait @ Paper Fury is once again the Queen. Because she has a groundbreaking twitter account and a swoon worthy instagram. How???
Best personality / friendliest member of the community
Ummmmm…..how do you chose???????? I mean, May, and Malanie, and Cait, and Marie, and Tiffany, are ALL so friendly? And so many more? Basically everyone I nominated is friendly. (because I apparently only follow friendly bloggers??? idk)
But I haven’t nominated Aris. So I shall amend this problem.
Aris @ Awkward Aris is the sweetest cinnamon roll and is always so friendly. Her blog is so funny? And she always makes me smile.
Best Blog Overall
Argh, there are so many GREAT blogs. I’ve already nominated several amazing bloggers for other awards, so I had to choose one I hadn’t nominated? Because I’m picky. and kind of hate to nominate the same blog twice. (It doesn’t’ seem fair?)
Lu @ It’s Lu Again – Lu is all things adorable, and funny, and sweet. her aesthetic is gorgeous, and her writing is hilarious. She also has a cat? And her twitter is fully of cute kitty pictures? I kind of love her discussion posts, and her reviews, and her monthly wrap-ups. So she gets this nomination!
Ok, I have typed myself out with this post. And I didn’t even do all the categories? (Flops like tired fish on beach)
I have really enjoyed reading other book blogger award nomination posts and hope to meet lots of new bloggers in the next week or so!
Me, meeting other bloggers
Are you going to nominate any bloggers?
PS…you don’t have to write a blog post! (COOL!) And there will be voting on twitter, so be sure to check out the original post to get ALL the inside scoop.
Know any of the bloggers I nominated? Who would you nominate?
