If I’m not reading, blogging, writing, or in class, I’m probably watching Youtube. Especially, if it’s Saturday or Friday night. Yes, I live a very exciting life full of Friday night youtube evenings. Doesn’t everyone spend their weekends in their dorm room watching Youtube? *nods yes enthusiastically*
There a million billion Youtube channels and I like watching a TON of them. But of course, I still have a few favorites. Though I discover new channels ALL the time and enjoy most all of them? But I’m only picking 5, or 6, or 7 to chat about today, because blogging is hard work. Especially, when you have Youtube to watch, am I right?
Jesse is one of the coolest booktubers! His videos are so original and fun and I love his editing style! And if I get to go to YALLfest in Charleston, fingers crossed, I really, super duper hope to meet Jesse!
One of my favorite videos…
Hannah is my FAV booktuber! I love her channel and style and ALL of her reviews. She’s incredibly sweet and I just love the way she talks?
I couldn’t choose just ONE fav video from Hannah, because as you can see from this short screenshot, Hannah makes incredible videos. Every single week. Some youtubers post a lot? And I can’t watch all of their videos? But Hannah posts about once a week, and you can bet ALL your money that I watch every SINGLE video. Because they are ALL amazing.
Also, Hannah was an extra on The Hate U Give!!!! This is the COOLEST thing, ever.
Jessica is a deaf youtuber with the MOST interesting and informative videos! She’s from the UK, which means her accent is fabulous. Seriously, I wish I sounded like Jessica. Jessica also has a chronic disability. I learn SO MUCH watching her videos.
I also simply cannot choose one favorite. Jessica makes so many incredible vlogs, on such a variety of important subjects. You can binge watch all of Jessica’s playlists.
What can I say about Ash? Maybe that they’re the literal BEST. Ash makes fun videos, educational videos, real-life videos, and so much content. I discovered Ash’s channel this summer and I literally binge watched everything.
Except, apparently, I did not. Because I keep discovering old content that is always amazing.
One of my favorite videos…
This is actually a collab? But it’s definitely one of my favorites!!! I learned a lot, especially about aromantic and asexual spectrums.
if you haven’t heard of John and Hank Green, have you even been on youtube? Like, seriously, the Hank brothers have defined youtube and all things vlogging. There are so many John and Hank videos. Pretty much any pick any topic under the sun, and the Hank bros have turned it into a vlog.
I actually prefer Hank’s videos? I just think he’s funnier. But there are so many different ones to watch! It might take a year to watch them all?
Alexa Donne is a writer! She’s published at least 1 book and is working on her second book. Her youtube is a cool mix of author advice, youtube advice, and booktube. I love her advice videos, as well as her rants. I just learn so much from her videos!
If you have a question about traditional publishing, book writing, or making youtube videos, there’s a good chance Alexa has a video on the subject.
Now, this weekend I’ve been watching Youtube and visiting pumpkin patches which makes for a great October weekend. I mean, pumpkins are worth skipping out on youtube for a while, right? If only the very hot Carolina weather would kick into fall season. (I’m serious, it’s been close to 90 degrees!!!)
How much time do you spend watching Youtube? Who are your favorite youtubers?
If you had a youtube channel, what would it be about?
